I have to tell you, but the days when the iPhone was at the top of the camera charts are long gone. Before it was Huawei in the lead, then Xiaomi and now it’s Huawei again. I doubt an iPhone will even come close to the top 3 in 2022

I would definitely use a phone that has the best frame rate quality and super slow motion, to get the most out of it. I don’t have a ranking for that.

I used to use ring lights, softboxes, a whole host of lastolite reflectors and such, and all I did was studio and studio photography, so I guess professional filmmakers are much more equipped.
I even use lastolite reflectors at motorsport events or in nature shots.
Obviously at the time I had canon and nikon pro gear… but I guess the older kit could have been used on mobile cameras as well.
You can always tell that a mobile was used for filming, if you know what you’re looking for…..but that doesn’t mean the results can’t be stunning.
They should give young filmmakers a half discount, otherwise it’s business as usual

Fun short film. I expected it to be more violent if it was directed by the director of Oldboy.
I’m interested to know what kind of props are used for this movie. As far as I remember, companies like Moment and Beastgrip still prioritize iPhones for their moving lenses and cages.
Apple is so crappy that it’s just ridiculous to see them pushing their pro camera manufacturing capabilities to the masses. Take off your Apple propaganda glasses, no, you can NOT shoot cinematic quality video with any phone, not even the iPhone 13 pro. Its all stuff and BS as usual.
