City of Gonzales Opens New Performing Arts and Conference Center

GONZALES, La (BRPROUD) – The City of Gonzales officially opened its new center for the performing arts, conventions and events, the Price LeBlanc PACE Center, on July 5. Construction of the event center is expected to begin in late September.

“This is a project that has fascinated me for a long time. The historic flood of 2016 put it on hold, as we turned to restoring our community. But I’m so glad we’re here today,” said Mayor Arceneaux.

The two-story, 25,000 square foot center is located in the Heritage Crossing Development at the intersection of Highway 44 and Highway 30, this modern facility is purpose-built to host exhibits, cultural and arts events stage, as well as indoor concerts, banquets and balls. , and will be the anchor of this development.

The PACE Center will support tourism and economic development while creating jobs by supporting local hotels, restaurants and small businesses. It will also add significantly to our quality of life in the town of Gonzales.

Mayor Arceneaux says this development is a positive and beneficial partnership with the Price LeBlanc family and that residents’ quality of life will improve as they attend wonderful local events.

The Price LeBlanc PACE Center is expected to host its first event in 2023.
