As the poster for Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film “Shamshera” leaked on the internet on Saturday morning and the curiosity of the actor’s fans grew, the film’s director Karan Malhotra says that somewhere there are positive feedback.
Reacting to the whole poster leak incident, Karan said, “We keep planning our lives so that we land at the perfect time, but in doing so, we forget that the Universe is always on time. Incidents like these are a real example! I’m just happy that people and fans of Ranbir Kapoor love his look and the “Shamshera” poster.
Karan Malhotra added, “We wanted to start our campaign in the middle of next week but it seems the fans couldn’t wait for us to start. I don’t blame them. They waited too long. Ranbir returns to the movies after four years, and the excitement is hard to control. I’m just glad the reactions are great.
The story of “Shamshera” is set in the fictional city of Kaza, where a tribe of warriors are imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by a ruthless overbearing general Shudh Singh. It is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a chief and then a legend for his tribe. He fights tirelessly for the freedom and dignity of his tribe. His name is Shamshera.
Speaking of the leaked poster, Ranbir Kapoor was seen sporting a rugged look in the first look poster. You can’t take your eyes off the actor who sports long curly hair with a thick beard while holding a gun in his hands.
In other news, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Brahmastra, whose official trailer dropped a few days ago and is being hailed by all.
The film is produced by Aditya Chopra, also starring Sanjay Dutt, Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Saurabh Shukla, Ronit Roy – and is set to be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22.
