Friday night’s performance will be a special preview show for guests. REeNTRANCE Creative Director Alfie Walker explained the background to the performance. “This grand opening performance for the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre, REeNTRANCE, is a collaboration using theatre, storytelling, dance, song, costume, set design and music; brought together by our diverse community groups and individuals,” did he declare. “This is a showcase put on by the community, for the community. “Previously, our Goulburn Performing Arts Community had a public space and stage where performances and events could be presented. “Although there has not been a central performance space in Goulburn for a number of years, the performing arts have remained strong in our community with a number of groups including our schools, who champion this art form.” The new Goulburn Performing Arts Center represents a RE-ENTRANCE of performance space into our community, providing a new and improved venue where our vibrant performing arts community can once again have a permanent public performance space.
