MJF to Star in First Feature – TJR Wrestling

Hollywood has come to call AEW star MJF with news that the star is set to star in ‘The Iron Claw’ movie about the Von Erich family.

The Von Erich family are the stuff of wrestling royalty, but their rise to wrestling stardom has been fraught with challenges. After David Von Erich died suddenly at the age of 25, his brothers Mike, Kerry and Chris all ended up taking their own lives. Family patriarch and World Class Championship Wrestling promoter Fritz Von Erich has died of brain and lung cancer at the age of 68.

Back in June Deadline reported that Zac Efron would star in an A24 film chronicling the life of the Von Erich family. It was later revealed that he would be playing the role of Kevin Von Erich, who is one of the last surviving members of the wrestling dynasty and was present for the family’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.

Now Zac Efron apparently has a co-star who thinks he’s better than the Hollywood star…and he knows it, with news that MJF is also set to be in the picture.

Deadline reported that MJF is set to join the cast of The Iron Claw in what will be his first feature film appearance. PWInsider reported that The Salt of the Earth will star Lance Von Erich and that’s why he was written off AEW television as it nears. Full equipment.

Lance Von Erich was brought into World Class Championship Wrestling to help the Von Erich family in their feud with The Fabulous Freebirds. He didn’t last very long in the business, as fans realized he was unrelated to the Von Erich dynasty.
