One Fast Move taps Eric Dane for motorcycle racing movie

Eric Dane joined the cast of A quick move next to KJ Apa, Deadline reported. The Euphoria The actor is set to play Apa’s character’s father. The Kelly Blatz-directed film has entered production in Atlanta. A quick move follows a dishonorable discharged soldier who seeks out his estranged father to help him pursue his dream of racing Supersport motorcycles. While training, he meets an aspiring small-town singer who begins to break down the walls that his father’s absence had built.

Dane is currently seen as Nate (Jacob Elordi) father Cal Jacobs in Sam Levinsonthe hit series Euphoria on HBO. He is also known for his role on TNT The last boatand playing Dr. Mark Sloan in ABC’s long-running medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy. His film credits include X-Men: The Last Stand, Marley and I, Valentine’s Day, and Burlesque.

The actor will next be seen in swab jeansthe thriller Little Dixie next to Frank Grillo, John Barrthe thriller Dangerous waters with Odeya Rush, saffron burrows and the end Ray Liottaand in Tony Tostcrime drama National anthem with Sydney Sweeney, Zahn McClarnon and Halsey.

Blatz, who will helm the project, is an actor known for his work in Prom night and what lies ahead and in the hit TV series Fear the living dead. He made his directorial debut with the 2019 feature film, senior love triangle. In an official statement, Gulfstream Mike Karz and Bill Binley said: “Kelly’s gripping storyline takes you straight into the dangerous and thrilling world of Supersport motorcycle racing. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with KJ again and with Kelly to tell this story to all motor racing enthusiasts around the world.


Apa is well known for playing Archie Andrews in The CW’s teen drama Riverdale. A quick move marks the actor’s second collaboration with Gulfstream, having previously starred in the last summer by the production company. His other acting credits include I still believe, the hate you give, a dog’s purpose, songbirdand more.

Outside of Netflix the last summer Gulfstream has already produced films such as Garry Marshallit is Mothers’ Day, and the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymorethe comedy Mix. The studio can also be credited for notable animations such as Netflix’s animated comedy series Green eggs and ham and The nut workwhich had the highest opening gross for an independent animated film in history.

Karz and Bindley are producing for Gulfstream Pictures, in association with Matt Luber and Lena Roklin by Luber Roklin Entertainment.

As of now, no release date has been set for the project.
