SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, Calif. – The Santa Ynez Valley Performing Arts Company returns to live performances for the first time since closing in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Based at the Fossemalle Dance Studio, the artistic company will perform at the Santa Ynez High School Little Theater for their 33rd edition of “An Invitation To Dance” from June 16-18.
The callback is set for 7:00 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
“We look forward to an enthusiastic audience, who have supported us for 33 years
years,” said artistic director Christine Fossemalle.
Under construction since 2019, the choreographers Sonia Ibarra Corona and Fossemalle will present how other arts
forms have influenced their creativity and will show how they translate into “The Art of Dance”.
The art company will present a number of performances, such as ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop and tap dance creations.
With the support of the parents and the dedication of the dancers, the artistic company has been able to continue since the closure.
“‘Art feeds the soul’ or at least ‘Art feeds our soul,'” Fossemalle said. “We hope it will be the same
magical effect on each of you, our viewer, when you witness our new arrivals,
our dedicated corps de ballet and choir. In addition to celebrating our 2022 graduates, Avanell
Bratt, Claire Helton, Camryn Kemp and Zefa Tullis-Thompson.”
