Santander and the Performing Arts Center conclude a record in February

The ASM Global Managed Santander Arena (located at 700 Penn Street) and the Santander Performing Arts Center (located at 136 North 6th Street) concluded February with a record number of events over a 16-day period and the one of the two highest weekly attendance counts of customers during the 20 years of operation of the two halls. During this series of events, fans descended on Reading town center for a variety of events including BCIAA Basketball, a sold-out Whiskey Myers concert, the Dropkick Tour kick-off Murphys, several Reading Royals games and much more.

General Manager of the two downtown locations, David Farrar, explained, “The end of February showed just how strong community support is for the content we bring to Reading, PA. We had a wide range of events that appealed to everyone and this diversity of content is what allowed us to reach this milestone on our 20th anniversary. But we are not done yet because the next few months could be just as important or more important for our two sites.

With February’s record behind Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center, attention turns to the future as Nelly and Ludacris are set to start the month on March 3. The performance by the iconic hip/hop duo will be quickly followed by comedian Rob Schneider on March 4, Celtic Thunder on March 5 and Los Tigres del Norte on March 11. “2021 has started well for our sites and we were delighted to reopen both of our sites with a wide range of content for our fans. The success we had in the fall allowed us to extend our spring to the biggest we’ve ever had with many artists like Marc Anthony, For King & Country, Slipknot, Aaron Lewis and Breaking Benjamin all returning. for the second half of our 20th anniversary. season,” marketing director Matt Christine explained.
