Shamrock Summer Camps returns to West T. Hill Community Theater in Danville after a two-year hiatus from Covid-19.
The UPLIFT Performing Arts group from Danville’s sister town, Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland run the camp. Run by Ryan and Amy Moffett, owners and founders of UPLIFT, the theater will host eight young Irish adults who will lead three weeks of summer camps.
There are two weeks of camps for ages 5-18 (July 18-22 and 25-29) and one week of adult camp (August 1-5). There are showcase performances every weekend. The camps will culminate with a huge “MegaMash” showcase on Sunday, August 7 at the Boyle County Performing Arts Center.
These camps are high energy – teaching in all avenues of stage performance including music, dance and singing. The cultural exchange of friendship is an amazing experience.
Registration begins May 9 at West’s Wing at 137 N. Third Street (directly across from the Main Theater) starting at 11 a.m. at 14h. The cost is $150.00 for each week ($50.00 discount for each additional family member). Fees include materials, instruction, lunch, snacks, t-shirt, and two free tickets to the shows.
