‘Swagger’ film crew spotted around Richmond in Maymont, Huguenot High School | Richmond Local News

Basketball star Kevin Durant’s youth-based sports drama “Swagger” is back in Richmond to film its second season for Apple TV+, and film crews have been spotted across the city.

On Thursday, teams set up around Huguenot High School at 7945 Forest Hill Ave. Earlier this week, ‘Swagger’ teams were spotted at Maymont.

Filming is expected to continue through November. So be prepared to see a lot more “Base Camp” and “Crew Parking” signs all over town.

“Swagger” filmed the first season in the Richmond area from 2019 to 2021 with breaks due to the pandemic.

In season one, Gilpin Court was a major site for filming as it served as the home of Carson, the title character and rising basketball star. Other Richmond locations appeared in the first season, including the Brookland Park area, the Seminary Avenue area, the Mayo Bridge, and the downtown YMCA basketball courts.
